WHO ARE "Keenagers In Christian Service"?
- Persons who may be 55 years of age or older.
- Persons who may be retired, semi-retired or thinking about retirement in the near future.
- Persons who have a wide variety of useful skills.
- Persons whom God is calling to invest a portion of their time, their resources, and some of their talents to help "make a Christian Difference" by serving as Volunteers In Mission.
You can help to recruit persons as Keenagers in Christian Service by:
- Show them or tell them about this website.
- Tell your adult Sunday School class, or older adult fellowship or United Methodist Men's group that a VIM staff member is available to speak with your group about KEENAGERS.
The KICS Council has two primary functions. It promotes the enrollment of retired and semi-retired persons who are interested in serving as “Keenagers In Christian Service.” It dreams about, and plans for missional experiences which “Keenagers” can play a significant role. The council works closely with the VIM staff. and has lay membership from six districts in the Oklahoma Conference. Contact the VIM office or Don Horton.
