The resources here are intended to assist local leaders in this process.
As always, we need volunteer leaders and leaders in training for all camps. You must be willing to work with and care for the campers, share your faith, and enjoy camp life.
You will be required to complete a Safe Sanctuary Screening which includes a background check.
Indicate the age group(s) you want to work with and which camp site(s).
Contact the dean of the camp(s) you wish to volunteer. See the Summer Camp Book for contact information on the Deans.
This online training will complete your training requirement.
It is divided into seven sections and you can go through the whole unit at one time or through one or two modules at a sitting.

The camping coordinator is an active and creative advocate for camping ministries.
"Lighting the Way, Warming the Heart" campaign for camps that is improving our camp sites and enhancing our camp programs.
We are moving forward, but we need your help to reach our final goal.
Every United Methodist in the Oklahoma Conference has the opportunity to be a part of this campaign.
You can become a "Ray of Light" by pledging $100 a year, or more, for three years. Youth groups, Sunday School classes, Individuals, and others are encouraged to take the challenge and help push us over the goal line.
We can do it if everyone helps. Please consider being a "Ray of Light" for our camps and help us to "pass on God's love" to our future campers.
