The JOYful noise of music, the enJOYment of active learning, expressions of JOY on children’s faces – these are the JOYs of JOY Camp. If your kids have a creative streak and a desire to try out new things, this may be the camp they need to attend. In this camp, campers choose creative arts and movement classes they want to attend. Although choices vary from camp to camp, they all focus on ways the church uses the arts in worship – vocal music, instrumental music, drama, the written word, dance/movement, visual art, verbal expression, etc. The campers will help lead worship throughout the weekend using the new skills they have learned. NOTE: Parents and bus drivers are invited to be at camp at 1 p.m. for the closing worship. Following worship, campers return to their cabins to be checked out. Sunday lunch IS NOT provided for guests so eat before you arrive. If you would like to be considered as a camp leader contact the camp deans directly.
