Ministry Description
If you are interested in being a part of this ministry at your church call
the camps office to find out how.
The camping coordinator is an active and
creative advocate for camping ministries.
Publicize all scheduled
camping events:
Post schedule of summer district and conference camps in elementary and youth
class rooms. Make large picture posters promoting camps. In March or April place posters in appropriate Sunday school classrooms.
Include lines on poster for children/youth to sign up for camp.
Present programs on summer children and youth camping: Get a video from conference office or travel to the camp your youth will
attend and take pictures to display.
Have youth visit the camp to experience the campground.Plan a pre-summer visit to the campground (visits must be scheduled through
the site managers office. Always plan to eat one meal there.)
