You are invited to spend three, full days, in
active, energizing workshops at the United Methodist Seminars with other
Oklahoma Conference youth.
Study topic for 2009:
"Poverty: why do people go to bed hungry at
night?"
(There will be preparation work required to attend this
seminar.)
We will be looking specifically at poverty and what are some of the
possibilities to eliminate hunger in our world, in the U.S. and in
Oklahoma.
• What can we do as a church to make a difference?
• How can we educate ourselves to make a difference?
In addition we will spend several days in both New York City and
Washington D.C.
Included in the tour, will be sight-seeing around both cities.
