| Each Project Transformation site
camp accepts 50-70 children each summer for
programming. Day-camps are intended to provide
children the opportunity to read daily with adult
mentors as well as enrichment in art,
math/computer/science, recreation, and afternoon
enrichment activities. Campers are accepted on a
need basis and attend camp for eight weeks during
the summer break beginning on June 4 and ending on July 26.
Camp runs each week Monday-Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm. College AmeriCorps Members are responsible for the facilitation of the camp along with daily volunteers from the site church. Project Transformation seeks to ensure that each camper either improves or retains their reading abilities during the summer months. Only campers who have completed K-4th grade are eligible for attendance at Project Transformation camps.
