What will a Project Transformation Intern do?

There are four primary components to Project Transformation: day camp, spiritual development, church involvement, and vocational exploration.

The summer Project Transformation interns will work in teams of 5-6 to plan and facilitate an eight-week summer day camp for elementary children at city churches. This constitutes giving leadership to crafts, music, field trips, recreational activities, etc.

Project Transformation invests in the spiritual development of each intern, opening their eyes to the needs and opportunities for ministry. The program will help the interns learn to build a community of support through worship, Bible study, and outside speakers.

The interns are exposed to various avenues of lay and ordained ministry, education field-training, and local non-profit exposure through guest speakers, field trips, and Friday service projects. Friday activities allow member to interact with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Boys & Girls Club, Food Banks, Children’s Shelters, Infant Crisis Services, Sunbeam Family Services, and many more.
