Bluff, Arkansas, will be leading tow major sessions
Part I -- Know Your Funding
Strategies
(Deals with the issues
of fund-raising, the art of development, annual funds,
capital campaigns,
role of board members and staff in fund-raising.)
Part II - Build A Winning Team
(This is the issue of
board development and board recruitment. It deals with
board member
expectations, the role of board members, responsibility and
Accountability, action
items for board member involvement, and board training.)
Dr. Tom Nisbett is the founder and
President of The Nisbett Group, a leadership and development
firm which provides services in fund-raising, board development,
strategic planning, and executive search. He works primarily
with nonprofit organizations including Christian ministries and
educational institutions. Tom has over 25 years experience in
higher education and the nonprofit sector. He has served as a
university vice-president, business school dean, and professor
of economics. He has a Ph.D. in economics from Texas Tech
University and is a certified fund raising executive (CFRE).

Conference Treasurer, will focus on Financial Management for
Campus Ministry Boards
For those attending the Board
Training event from a distance and needing to spend Friday night
lodging will be provided (double occupancy).
