About our Oklahoma UMC Camping Ministry

United Methodist churches of Oklahoma view Christian camping as an opportunity for education and ministry.

Oklahoma United Methodist churches are given a financial goal annually to offer this unique ministry to children, youth, adults and families.

If you have special interest in camp ministry, you are encouraged to make financial gifts or to place the camps in your will to insure the future ministry through camping. These tax deductible gifts are encouraged, needed and appreciated.

The campsites have a master plan for building our future.

Oklahoma United Methodist Camps are open to all persons regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, age or gender.

The Philosophy of
United Methodist Camps

Camp and Retreat Ministries provide experiences that shape and expand the Christian commitment of persons of all ages, empowering them to live the truth of the gospel in their daily lives. These ministries create environments that are conducive to listening and responding to God.

The unique characteristics of these environments include:

Out of these experiences, people return with the heightened awareness of God’s redeeming grace in Jesus Christ, and are able to be more responsible disciples in God’s world. They enter into local church communities inspired, renewed and dedicated to faithful service.
