"My name is Debbie, and I am an active member of Redemption Church and have been for about 18 months. I want to take this opportunity to let people know that I, along with several other inmates, appreciate the fact that CJAMM and Redemption Church are here for us. Being a member of this church, I am an active member. I serve on several committees, on the advisory council. I’m an acolyte, help serve communion, a member of United Methodist Women, and I am an active choir member. It’s an opportunity for me, as well as other inmates, to interact with society again."

Redemption Churches

"I was in prison and you came to visit me." - Matthew 25:36

Redemption Church is a fellowship of prisoners, ex-prisoners, their families, and friends of faith. We seek to mold prison formed faith into the walk of discipleship. The mission of Redemption Church is to cultivate and empower peer leaders who can reach out and help others with similar life experiences.

Fellowship

Inmates have the opportunity to visit with family members and even share a meal provided by churches or brought by family members. Having the opportunity to socialize in a relaxed environment is significant in allowing inmates to begin to think about transitioning back into community.
