Juvenile Offender Ministries
Oklahoma County Detention
This ministry works with juvenile offenders (ages 8 to 18; average 16) who are detained in a maximum-security facility waiting for trial or placement in a juvenile facility. It ministers to them through a variety of programs that aim to break the cycle of bad behavior and incarceration. Groups and individuals provide a variety of programs and activities for juveniles being detained waiting for trial or placement in a facility.
Hope Church is a worship experience currently at two locations: Oklahoma County Detention Center and the Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center in Tecumseh.
Other programs include:
- Bible studies,
(Donations of Comtemporary English Bibles are welcomed) - Arts and craft classes,
- Life skills,
- Women empowerment programs,
- and other sessions with the juveniles.
