Juvenile Offender Ministry

Community Youth Outreach

Community Youth Outreach, a mission arm of Quayle UMC (1508 N.E. 50th Street) to the Oklahoma City Northeast community.

The program provides horticulture and computer classes for juvenile offenders and other youth. Its focus is on youth and adults who are seeking new learning experiences, and want to build business skills.

Community Youth Outreach work with at-risk youth on a 3.5 acre urban farm. A holistic, community-based curriculum emphasizing empowerment and utilizing the concepts of sustainability, permaculture, and organic gardening has been developed.

Volunteers tutor and mentor the youth.

Work depends on the season and help is needed for year-round organic gardening, hot composting and worm composting.
