Crossing the Line Initiative
Churches and groups are invited to serve in new and creative ways.
It is an opportunity for those who may not feel called to volunteer directly in CJAMM ministries to have some abbreviated experience of it.
It would provide opportunities for exploration, reflection and discussion.
We are calling this the "Crossing the Line" initiative.
Here are some examples of opportunities.
- Choir performances in prisons including but not limited to Christmas and Easter cantatas
- Provide a meal at a Redemption church either Sunday afternoon or Thursday evening and stay for worship
- Bake cookies for a Kairos, Kairos Outside (female relatives of prisoners) or Torch at Rader (juvenile offenders weekend and attend the closing of the event where the participants share about their experiences of the ministry.
