Older adult ministries expert pens resource on aging

"Aging and Ministry in the 21st Century" is the title of a resource by Rev. Richard H. Gentzler, Jr. The book offers church leaders a structured approach to implementing ministry by, with, and for older adults. Gentzler,of the United Methodist Board of Discipleship, addresses the more difficult topics of aging including chronic conditions, depression and death. The book is available from the Upper Room.

The UM Committee on Older Adult Ministries

will be providing two kinds of grants in the areas of Intergenerational Ministry and Caregiving Ministry.

The grants will be available to local United Methodist congregations, districts, annual conferences, and UM-related institutions.
